Ready to go Ruby?

Hands down, this is one of my favourite cafes I have ever been to.

Our Ruby Girl is located in Manning, less than 10 minutes away from the Curtin Bentley Campus.

Not only is the coffee fantastic, but the atmosphere of the cafe is incredible, and the store's ethos is heartwarming.

This cute local cafe is the perfect combination of funky and welcoming, with community at the heart of their business.

The store works with local sustainable food suppliers, and is an equal opportunity employer who also takes on two high-school-aged work experience students with disability each term.

While at the cafe, I ordered an oat milk cappuccino and a delicious vegetarian sweet potato gnocchi.

So, where do these local legends rank?

My coffee was fantastic, a perfect blend of creamy yet strong, with a generous sprinkling of chocolate on top.

My only note is that it could have been slightly hotter, but I am being extremely picky

Our Ruby Girl it is also a perfect study spot, and I'm disappointed I didn't find it earlier in my degree!

I was lucky enough to head to Our Ruby Girl to try their coffee with my best friend to celebrate a major life achievement and her new job.

Heading into your 20s is an incredible experience of watching people grow and rapidly achieve their dreams.

While we were at coffee, Ella and I discussed our first day of university, and how far we have come in such a short time.

It's these moments of reflection, over a simple coffee ritual, that remind me to be grateful for all that I have in life.
